Program Description

Mission Statement


The purpose of the Wayne County Day Reporting Center (DRC) is to provide the Courts with a concentrated, one-stop point of entry for offenders 
The DRC in Wayne County is designed to provide a "one-stop" community punishment center. It offers programs to control and manage offenders in the community by providing appropriate discipline and victim restitution, as well as rehabilitation, employment and educational opportunities for offenders and defendants
Program Goals
  • Reduce the recidivism of Wayne County offenders.
  • Reduce the number of probation revocations in Wayne County.
  • Reduce alcoholism and other drug dependencies among offenders in Wayne County.
  • Reduce the cost of incarceration to the State of North Carolina and Wayne County.

  • District Court.

NON-DISCRIMINATORY STATEMENT -- The acceptance of offenders into the Wayne County Day Reporting Center program is based upon the eligibility criteria as outlined in section one of the policy manual.  The Day Reporting Center does not discriminate because of the offender's race, color, religion, nationality, or country of origin.

                        *The DRC is monitored and videotaped 24 hrs a day.
